This 3-bedroom penthouse was to be furnished for the family
vacations, and to rent out as well. It was to be casual, Mexican
in style, easy to maintain, and wear well.
The rooms are large, and the budget was not extremely large,
but suficient. Time was of the essence, and the client only
had a few days here to pick the furnishings. We started with
a colorful rug in the living room, and from there worked with
cotton fabrics for sofa, seats of chairs, etc. We picked rustic
wood furniture; simple but well-made, and Indian dark wood
pieces, and other special items from my shop. We made wrought
iron table bases, and used glass and marble tops. I designed
a desk of iron with leaves, and a scalloped glass top, for
the living room for the laptop computer. We whirled through
everything in about 4 hours, and what we didn't accomplish,
I finished after the client left.

A colorful, light, spacious and uncluttered home, easy to
live in, and comfortable for up to 10 people. Mexican in feel,
with its leather equipal
furniture, iron and wood, and other typical details such as
the oil painting in the dining room of a Mexican pueblo street
scene.
